He got a senior diplomatic posting as Ambassador Designate to the USA and Permanent Representative to the OAS which will see Lynn Young, who is currently the Deputy Chairman of BEL and BECOL's representative on the board assigned to Washington DC. And that's why BECOL's Board of Directors today announced the retirement of its President and CEO Lynn Young. A. Release says, quote, "Mr. Young is retiring from BECOL following his recent appointments as Ambassador…"

Young has been President and CEO of the Fortis owned BECOL for the past ten years - ever since the Barrow administration effected a state takeover of BEL - from majority shareholder, Fortis.

Fortis operates three hydro power facilities along the Macal river.
