Weed Found on Corozal Road

Cops from the north are also reporting that they found almost a kilo of marijuana stashed inside an open lot on the Belize Corozal Road.

At around 2:50 p.m. on Monday, police conducted searches on the property, where they discovered 2 transparent parcels containing cannabis. The drugs were retrieved, and the officer later determined that they had a combined weight of 960 grams or 2.11 pounds.

At the time of the discovery, no one was on the empty lot, and so it was deposited as found property.

Police intelligence says that a large portion of the marijuana market is controlled by marijuana coming from Mexico, through Corozal to the City and other areas.
