Turning now to the latest figures on the Gross Domestic Product - the good news is that the first quarter of 2021 - recorded the highest level of production for any first quarter on record, and surpassed the pre-pandemic production levels recorded for the first quarter of 2019. And those figures were recorded using a new method to calculate the GDP. It gives a more comprehensive overview of the country's production - and has had the effect of sharply increasing nominal GDP estimates going back as far as 2014.
