For weeks we've been reporting on the case of PC Alicia Trapp who was caught up in a heated verbal exchange with PUP Cayo South rep Julius Espat in early June.

Espat said he wouldn't press for criminal charges against her, but the Commissioner of Police was clear that he would bring disciplinary charges against her.

But PC Trapp has lawyered up and her attorney has warned the head of the professional Standards Branch and the Deputy COMPOL with responsibility for legal affairs that any action against Trapp would be met with swift legal action.

We put that legal threat to the COMPOL today and here's how he responded to his former law school buddy:

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police

"Listen to me, I really don't have time for nonsense you know. Please, anything Orson Elrington has to say, please don't tell me about it. If he wants to take legal action, by all means the courts are open. Anybody could take legal action. The question is, is the court going to be so foolish to accede to nonsense that he may want to present before the court. Ask the public, what is Orson Elrington success rate in the court and then you come back to me. On that note I'm done."
