Last week when we had our interview with the most recent Fantasy Five winner who scored a 321 thousand dollar prize - little did we know, he would be the last.

That's because government yesterday pulled the plug on Fantasy Five. A release announced that the Lotteries Committee decided that the license for Caribbean Gaming Company Limited which is Fantasy 5 will not be renewed, quote, "due to non-compliance with the licensing requirements and conditions. The license held by Caribbean Gaming Company Limited for Fantasy 5….expired on May 31, 2023."

The release continues, "Caribbean Gaming Company Limited was notified that they should cease and desist all lottery operations effective Thursday, June 8, 2023."

So, going forward any establishment caught selling illegal Fantasy 5 tickets, will be fined.

And the same goes for the license for 369 Gaming Company Ltd. which is Pick 3. The license for that also expires tomorrow.

So, what happens next? Nothing, really. In a statement from Brads they say, quote, "In relation to Fantasy 5 and Pick3, all requirements were met, except for one; condition 8, where they asked for an audit to be done by a "certified lottery expert".

At the end of the day, the committee appears to have their agenda set, and moving forward with revoking the license for anything that has to do with Kim Chee. They have ordered for us to "cease and desist" and so we will do."End quote.

So, thus ends the final chapter for Brads in the gaming business - for now at least. And while government has stripped that company of all licenses it's now been 6 weeks since Boledo was drawn in Belize - representing a significant loss of revenue to government.

No date has been given for the re-commencement.
