Sandhill Nail tech, Yesenia Budd, owner of Nails By Sheenz, endured a significant blow to her business on Saturday night. Someone snuck onto her property between 9:00-10:00 and lit the wooden structure outside her home that served as her nailshop on fire. Budd was able to save the exterior part of the structure, but almost everything inside was damaged due to the heat of the blaze. She told us more today:
Budd says that she lost over $8,000 worth of supplies, equipment and other contents within her nail shop. Now she is not only left without the tools needed to continue her work, but she also had to turn away her customers who had already booked out the month of September.
If anyone wishes to assist Budd in building back her nail empire, a BBQ fundraiser will be held Saturday the 2nd in Sandhill. Orders can be placed at 631-8231. For further assistance Budd can be reached at 6153501.
