The Fort Street Tourism Village was abuzz today as the reigning Miss Universe R'Bonney Gabriel along with two of her other Miss Universe sisters made a stop in Belize this morning for a 1 day visit as part of their Carnival Vista cruise ship tour. Jomarie Lanza followed the Miss Universe crew today.
The Miss Universe Delegation was in Belize today. They came ashore via the Carnival Vista this morning to meet with Miss Universe Belize Ashley Lightburn, take a quick tour of one of the Archaeological reserves, and learn about Belize's culture and history. The reigning Miss Universe R'Bonney Gabriel, was accompanied by Miss Universe Aruba, Kiara Arends and Miss Universe El Salvador, Alejandra Guajardo. We spoke with the women this morning before they began their tour.

"So R' Bonney tell us a little about your agenda here in Belize today?"

"Well we have just a day here cause we're on a cruise but as far as I know we are going to the ruins which I have been to Belize before but I didn't get to see the ruins and learn more about the history so I'm looking forward to that and hopefully some Belize Food."

"Yes you have to get the Belize food. I always tell people that the best thing about Belize apart from our culture and our warmth is our food."

"I am our beauty Ambassador so I am her Miss Universe sister, so I will be accompanying her, we are going to Altun Ha and I will be sharing my Belizean knowledge with her and with the rest of the Miss Universe girls that are here with us and we will be having a great Belizean time. I'm here to showcase Belize as best as I can."
After the meet and greet the group travelled to Altun Ha where they climbed the temple of the Sun God and feasted on some of the best views Belize District has to offer at the archaeological site. They also snapped countless selfies, and photo op's, making it a publicity bonanza for Belize, where an ancient civilization meets universal beauty.
The tour was followed by lunch and the delegation then returned to the cruise ship where they will continue on to Mexico.
The delegation travelled from Honduras to Belize - and now moves unto Mexico.
