The cane crop started today as scheduled with the Tower Hill Factory opening on schedule and accepting waiting cane trucks at 10:00 am. The queue was long and it was a successful day at the mill - but the biggest association, the BSCFA and its 3,000 members were not there. They were protesting in the streets of Orange Walk Town - including taking a turn in front of the Prime Minister's Office.
