Yesterday's joint Press release between the NTCUB and the BSCFA, made official the union's support for the sugar cane farmer's cry for an equitable commercial agreement.
But, despite the NTUCB's unwavering support, we noticed that the BSCFA's protest in Orange Walk Town was lacking in union leaders or members this morning. BSCFA's chairman Alfredo Ortega explains why.

"What's the support from the NTCUB been like out here for you today?"
Alfredo Ortega, BSCFA Chairman
"Well we had a very short period to call them in for a meeting. We have the support of the leaders but as any group they had to go and report to their members to educate their members what is the plea of the BSCFA and they are doing so. So once we have to continue with this March we will be having their full support."
