A woman is claiming that she has to fight to keep custody of her child after his father reported her to the Human Services Department. Alicia Lobo came by our studio today and explained that the father, who resides in the US, has visitation rights, despite having been charged for kidnapping the child two years prior. However, she refused to give him the child when he came just before Christmas. Because of that, she was ordered to go to court, but she claims that last night, social workers came to her house to "check" her children for bruises. She told us more.

Alicia Lobo, Claims She Was Victimized
"When the social worker arrived with the police, she explained herself saying they have an order to remove the child and detain me. We asked them to show the paperwork where they got the order to remove the child or anything or any summons to detain me. They cannot provide it. So they demand that they're going to Ladyville police to get someone to pry open my door to detain me and get the child. We went live on Facebook and then everything start to change because we invited everybody from the community to come out and support us to see what's going on so they can video it and share the live. When that started to happen, the social worker changed her words saying she just came to do a thorough check on the child because of a serious allegation that the father made against me and my common law husband. When that happened, we allowed the social worker with the police officers and a justice of the peace as a witness on her checking the child for any bruises, any marks, she had found nothing, that was after 9, minutes to 10. The CEO of Human Services, Mr Vargas, came to my house personally himself to check the child, he said it's a very serious allegation that they made against me. up to now, he came to my house, we still didn't see any paper from the court, no order, nothing in writing, but the allegation, they cannot provide any kind of paperwork for us. when we tried to video him on the live he told us that we can't do that because it's not professional and he just came to talk to me and after that he asked my son some questions and then he left, he went outside with my common law husband and they had their own discussion."
Lobo also explained that she was told she had a court date this morning, but since she has a high risk pregnancy, she found herself in a hospital bed instead.
This evening, we reached out to the Director of Human Services, Shawn Vargas, who said that he couldn't comment on the case since it's before the court but emphasized that the department would never just go in to remove a children with the proper procedures and orders in place, and that making a video recording will not stop a removal if evidence is there.
