And on a recent trip to Taiwan, Zabaneh says he was exposed to more opportunities for the future of the transport industry in Belize. In order to launch the new National Bus company they're going to need a few new buses, and it's not just a handful, they are thinking big! How big? about 150 or so.

"We had the privilege myself and I was accompanied by minister Chebat, ministry of energy we recently returned from a visit to Taiwan to South Korea and we went there in particular because we wanted to learn more about their inter city bus systems engaged with manufacturers of buses and be able to have enough information to do the analysis of what would be the best mix of buses for the new company that we are in the process of forming I must say thanks very much to the Embassy of Taiwan to the Taiwanese people again they have come up significant support to us with the trip itself meeting everybody that is relevant to this process and we have seen where manufacturers are wiling to look at a proposal from us because we are seeking a 150 new buses that would renew the entire fleet for the 21 operators who have agreed voluntarily to be apart of the public private partnership up to this point."
