And apart from his rage at the Prime Minister, Budna was also angry about the way police have handled the issue of his personal vehicle - which remains impounded at the Orange Walk police station. Now, as you can imagine - a man who has been abducted is not able to go to police to get the vehicle back. So, he's asked his family to get it back - but 84 days later, they still have not been able to. Today he demanded its return:

Voice of: Joseph Ryan Budna, Preventivo Para Hombres Zona 18

"But what happens in terms of my vehicle? The vehicle, okay, so Joseph Budna was kidnapped. The police processed the vehicle, took the vehicle to the police station, sure. Why hadn't they informed a family member - we have Joseph Budna vehicle, immediately."

"Call Joseph or the following day, nobody was called. Why is the police holding the vehicle of a kidnap victim? I am a kidnap victim, Jules, and they keep my vehicle up to now. They deny handing over my vehicle to my family when I say, give my vehicle to my mother, hand it over to my mother."

"And I'm saying publicly, hand over my vehicle to my mother. Why the police continue to hold my vehicle? Man, unu no don, happy, unu don, beat me up. Unu no don, almost left me for death. Unu no don, hand me over to a country that is enemy with Belize by taking orders from your superior."

"Unu no don, happy with that. I am saying publicly, hand over the vehicle to my mother, Catherine Williams."

We'll have a little more from the Budna interview next week.
