After Weeks Of Picketing, BCWJ Getting Paid

After weeks of picketing their former employer to demand their severance payments, the Belize Communication Workers for Justice have finally gotten a signal that they will get it.

BTL wrote to them this evening stating that the board of directors approved payment to former employees who were not within the 6 year limitation period.

The board says it has instructed top managers to meet with them tomorrow to finalize the terms of payment. The Communication Workers for Justice see this as a major victory and a press release is expected this evening.
