And tracking your travel is about to get easier with a Commuters App on the way that will track the real time location of the buses. This will also allow for the bus stops to be the point of pickup on these buses:
Dr. Louis Zabaneh, Minister of Transport
"So what we're working on and we hope to introduce this even with the fleet that we have now, we will have an app where our commuters will be able to see where the buses are. So for example, if you live in Cotton Tree, you know what time the bus and you could literally see it moving on the highway on your app on your phone and know how many more minutes it will be before it reaches Cotton Tree. So in that case, that whole app will be programmed such that there are designated stops at all the villages and so people would know where they would need to go. That's the case in towns, in big towns. It's not, let me give you for example, Dangriga. You have the terminal close near the entrance of town by the drums of our father, but people all the way from Benguche have to find their way there. So in the same way, the practice that people have gotten accustomed to in villages that they just walk out of their street or their home and then they want the bus to stop right there in front. Those are some of the things that we're asking everybody to be prepared to adapt to the fact that now buses will be stopping at designated places."
