Susanna Vanzie, the CEO of the National Bus Company has stepped down after three months. Transportation Minister Louis Zabaneh confirmed this to 7News yesterday, saying, "Yes, she offered to serve in this establishment period, and informed that her other obligations require her full attention." He explained that all administrative personnel signed on to the first three months as transitional and non permanent. He said, quote, Ms. Vanzie continues as a shareholder supporting the NBC's development."
And while Zabaneh downplayed her departure, it surely is a disruption for the fledgling bus company which commenced operations on March first.
When we spoke to her on March 27th, Vanzie was gung ho about the way forward, saying NBC has to create its own culture:

Susanna Vanzie, CEO NBC
"Every company has its own culture. So trying to merge 17 different company cultures into one new culture with one new vision and mission is always going to be a challenge. But I think we've made a lot of progress internally in starting to merge all of those."
So far, no successor has been named. Zabaneh says "The post will be advertised shortly. In the meantime, there is a strong regional managers structure that will keep things going very well."
