And while Williams hasn't said anything yet - Flowers had a lot more to say while casting insults at his former boss. Out of the blue, he called our news director Jules Vasquez and launched into a tirade directed at Williams and Jules himself. He asked us to record it - and here's how he put it:
Voice of: Barrington Flowers
"The former commissioner of police is the Kim Kardashian of Belize He does everything in his power to remain relevant, boy your time is up you are not relevant!"
"I support the now commissioner of police because he is a manly man, he is not a Facebook commissioner of police he is not thin skinned, he is not egotistical, he does not have to be the center of attraction, the former commissioner of police now I don't know why he hasn't applied for a job at your station because he is in the news more than Indira Craig. And Jules Vasquez I will tell you this my brother, from you, a good journalist, don't let the news be about him or her, you make the news be about you. Jules, Indira is not good enough to read the news anymore; when the news is hot you need to go and sit-down with her on set because you need to diagnose."
"See, you make the news be about you Jules you remind me of Chester."
"No but I am telling you brother as a man, you make the news start being about you. One time ago I heard you say this. A good journalist never lets the news be about him or her. And that is what you are doing, especially when it comes to my name. My God! Better you read the whole news!"
"I know what you broadcast is not true - you see it, we won't discuss that because a time will come when we will deal with that."
Jules Vasquez
"But I have to put your name on the news Mr Flowers and you know I have text messaged you as well, I know you have not been charged..."
Voice of: Barrington Flowers
"So why would you do that to me? Why would you why would you? Call my name for months you have "deflamed" my character brother. Innocently you have "deflamed" my character but that is a discussion for another time."
Jules Vasquez
"Were you there on that night of August 22nd in Orange Walk?"
Voice of: Barrington Flowers
"Oh lord, there we go stop making the news be about you brother."
Jules Vasquez
"No I am asking you, I am asking you Barry."
Voice of: Barrington Flowers
"We are having a good conversation and you divert, let us deal with Kim Kardashian of Belize."
Flowers has never been charged for the Budna abduction. He remains on interdiction with full pay.
