But among the issues discussed, the UDP did not mention the upcoming municipal elections or its slates. When we asked about it, the chairlady said they would "strike when the iron is hot."

"My response to you dear is that the UDP is gearing up like you said and we are ready and the names are being floated around however we are a party that strikes when the iron is hot and so as much as I want you to poke me and get me to act to when you're ready, we will do so after we have all our ducks in a row and we're ready to do so strategically in each municipality."

"On that note, what do you make of the mayor endorsing his son in law as his successor?"

"How is that my concern? I cannot be bother about the mayor, his son in law, his daughter in law, his any in law. You know what my concern is? The UDP and who our mayoral candidate will be. Because you know why, it doesn't matter who they endorse, we're coming for their neck."
