14-Year-Old Mental Patient Raped in Teakettle

Two Teakettle men will remain in Belmopan police custody until at least Friday - after being accused of raping a 14-year-old mentally disabled girl.

In December, the teenager was sent to spend time with her father in Teakettle Village and that's when she claims her uncle, 25 year old Franco Audinette and his friend 20 year old Telford Guzman raped her. Because of her disability the teenager could not recall the dates, but did tell police what happened.

A doctor confirmed that she had been carnally known - and both men were arrested. They have been charged with unlawful carnal knowledge and they remain in custody because Belmopan Magistrate's Court does not convene until Friday.
