The quadruple murder trial of Patrick Robateau and Leslie Pipersburg continued today in the Supreme Court with the prosecution headed by Majorie Moyston calling their fourth witness to the stand.

Our Keith Swift is following the trial and reports from the Supreme Court.

Keith Swift Reporting,
On day three of the trial, Defense Attorney Linsbert Willis vigorously questioned the prosecution's two witnesses - George Ventura and Virgilio Requena both KBH security guards assigned to the Bowen and Bowen compound. Under that cross-examination Willis magnified, minor discrepancies between their statements to police and their sworn testimony to the court. At one point, Willis became so insistent that Justice Gonzalez told him "you are badgering the witness and confusing him."

The exhaustive questioning seems to be taking a toll on the jury's 5 women and 7 men - a working class mix. I observed only one juror taking notes, with the others seeming at times to get restless with the legal wrangling and back and forth.

And then another observations, the accused Patrick Robateau meticulously takes notes, and is well dressed - not like the disheveled accused murderer we saw almost 2 years ago.

It continues tomorrow with the 4th witness.

We'll have continuing coverage of the case in tomorrow's newscast.
