This afternoon Prime Minister and Fort George Area Representative Hon. Said Musa opened the doors to a new Fort George community resource center. Located at the corner of Queen Street and Gabourel Lane, the two-storey structure will serve the Fort George community in various aspects including education and health.

Hon. Musa today told us that the building is for the use of the constituency and only for that purpose.

Hon. Said Musa, Fort George Area Rep.
"It will be children doing homework at night, under supervision. It will be holding computer classes, sewing classes for women, adult education, and we also want to do organized debates, poetry readings, elocution contests. Generally to utilize it for what the community wants. We might have health clinics from time and time and eventually we might a pre-school up here.

Alfonso Noble,
"Many are speculating this might become a People's United Party building?"

Hon. Said Musa,
"I can say, like I said in my speech, it will serve as the office of the Area representative, whoever that person may be."

The building was completed at a cost of some $400,000 and was financed by the U.S. State Department, the Government of Belize and the people of Fort George.
