The deal to sell BTL to Innovative Communications Company seems to be sputtering - and the Opposition UDP pounced on it this afternoon - demanding a full public disclosure on the status of negotiations. The release raises issues which we aired last night on 7NEWS - most notably that the 60-day due diligence period has elapsed and the sale still has not been completed.
But despite demands for disclosure and concerns about the $104 million which Carlisle says it's already been paid - this afternoon, the usually forthcoming and glib Prime Minister Hon. Said Musa said "not today."
Alfonso Noble,
"Prime Minister about the Sale of BTL?"
Hon. Said Musa,
(Walking Away)"Not Today!"
The UDP release states that government is trying to put together a local deal with a group called, "the usual suspects."
