She died in a flurry of mystery, suspicion and finger pointing, but a coroner's inquest into the death of baby Amber Camal today concluded uneventfully in Magistrate's Court.

After deliberating for less than half and hour a jury of 4 today concluded that no one was criminally responsible for the baby's death. Magistrate Margaret Gabb-Mckenzie summed up the case stating that the inquest had to go on testimonies presented by the baby's attending physicians Doctors Hugh Sanchez and Mario Estradabran who said that Baby Amber died as a result of bronchial pneumonia causing sudden infant death syndrome.

Analyses conducted by forensic officers concluded that there was no foreign matter in the child. With that Gabb-Mckenzie ruled that nobody was criminally responsible. Baby Amber Camal died on September 7 at the KHMH where she was taken by her babysitter Deborah Godfrey after the child became ill.

At the time, it was alleged that she had been left unattended by her sitter and swallowed anti-depression pills - an allegation that was not supported by the doctors' testimonies.
