Coke Truck Crushes Grandmother

A 79-year-old Orange Walk woman was crushed this morning by a coke truck.

At 10:30 this morning in Guinea Grass village 32 year old Luis Augilar was reversing a coke truck when he ran over 79 year old Lucia Jimenez. Augilar wasn't aware that he had crushed her until he finished reversing and saw her mangled body in front of the tuck.

Her skull was crushed and she died on the spot. When he saw what he'd done - Augilar suffered a panic attack and had to be hospitalized. When he was released - police charged him for manslaughter by negligence, causing death by careless conduct and driving without due care and attention.

He appeared in court and was released on bail.
