The prosecution in the quadruple murder trial of Leslie Pipersburgh and Patrick Robateau could conclude its case by the end of this week.

But the biggest development in court today was defense attorney Linsbert Willis asking for an adjournment to research new evidence.

Keith Swift was back in court and has all the details from courtroom number 2.

Keith Swift Reporting,
Indira we all are waiting to find out what that new evidence the defense has but we will have to wait.

Today though, four witnesses took the stand. First was Dr. Fidel Coye, an emergency room physician at the KHMH who treated injured KBH security guard Carl Ventura. Police forensic analyst Diane Noble followed him.

Next was Lindbergh Tucker, the husband of Cherry Tucker, whose emotional television interviews garnered much attention at the time of the killings. Today though there was no emotion, as he was on the stand for about 10 minutes just to verify the identity of Mrs. Tucker. Last on the stand was police firearm expert Albert Ciego.

There was no afternoon session and the trial resumes tomorrow at 1:30. The prosecution has about 8 more witnesses to present and hopes to finish by Friday. But what bears watching is that new evidence the defense is talking about so definitely stay tuned for that.

The prosecution dropped a couple forensic witnesses and so far the defense has not indicated if they will call any witnesses. Our gavel-to-gavel coverage of the case continues tomorrow.
