For most of us, US $5,000 is a lot of money and a rough set from the north proved willing to go far to get it back.
Last week Thursday night, police found a white Dodge Aerosport with plates from Mexico city surrounded by the residents of the cocal area of Corozal town. Inside was Maria Montero form Tiral Farm, Alejandra Hernandez from Chetumal and Kareem Hernandez from Corozal who were alleged to have just kidnapped two children, aged 11 and 5, because they were trying to recover $5,000 from their father Esteban Perez.
Just before 8 that night, they showed up to the home of Esteban's sister Ada Luz and when they saw Esteban wasn't there, they took the two children inside the vehicle, and allegedly hurt the 11 year old boy. Their aunt got them out of the vehicle and police arrested all three. They appeared in court where each was charged for two counts of kidnapping, while Alejandra Hernandez was charged for one count of harm against the boy. They were remanded to the Hattieville prison.
