And with that Dangriga murder case still unresolved our stats show that police have only made arrests for two of the 7 murders in the past 10 days. So what is up with this latest wave of crime? Well you may be living in fear, but the police commissioner Jose Carmen Zetina today told us these are just isolated crimes.

"Well remember these cases that occurred Keith are isolated cases. These are non-preventable. These areas that it happened, for example in Guinea Grass, in Roaring River, and in Dangriga are isolated cases. It happens. It is a community that we are dealing with."
Q: How about the Chinese Woman in Belama who was stabbed to death because told the men to stop swinging on her gate?
Jose Zetina,
"Well from there you can see how the youths are thinking nowadays. They care less about what happens because this lady was just protecting her turf and you see how the youth reacted."
Q: What can you say to the community Dangriga who had a pregnant woman killed and then so many days later there is still no arrest?
Jose Zetina,
"We are looking at it. It is a matter again where the police need the support of the community and so we are asking the community to work along with the police because somebody must have seen something. And I think it is time that the community get out of their closet and come and assist the police in the fight against crime and violence."
