After being deported on Friday Robert Hertular appeared in a New York courtroom where he was ordered to be held without bail until his next court appearance. He is accused of coordinating 5 major shipments through Belize with each weighing over a ton each reportedly for a Colombian drug boss, the leader of a right wing paramilitary group. Court papers in Belize show that Hertular allegedly admitted to ASP Justo Augustine that he traveled to Colombia where he met paramilitary commandant Carlos Castano with whom he again allegedly conspired to transship cocaine to Belize with the cocaine belonging to the Escobar family. That cocaine was transshipped from San Roman in Belize, and then unto Santa Cruz and Villahermoso in Mexico. Hertular also has to face charges for threatening a federal officer, the DEA's man in Belize, agent Vincent Williams.
