He's been the most dominant and popular resident Belizean basketball player for the last 8 years and for much of that time, he's made his legend playing with the BTL Nets, but Keith Acosta may soon be a man in search of a team.
7NEWS has confirmed that Acosta has been suspended indefinitely by the BTL Nets after he failed to show for a game last Friday night. Where was he? Well, Keith was, so to speak, sleeping with the enemy; the perennial all star went to Playa Del Carmen to play an exhibition game with the Kruzzas, the BTL Nets primary opponent in the city.
BTL Nets’ team management has placed him on suspension and right now it's not clear what will become of the man called superman as other teams have expressed an interest in buying him over significantly reducing BTL's overwhelming reserve of offensive firepower.
