Brothers Andrew and Floyd Brown are at the Hattieville Prison awaiting the resumption of the extradition hearing but one man associated with them is already in U.S. custody. 46-year-old Steven Reneau known locally as 'Insect' was picked up at the Miami International Airport on Friday shortly after arriving in the country.
It turns out that Reneau was part of the December 2003 grand jury indictment involving the Brown brothers but was not part of the extradition request. Word on the street is that Reneau may have cooperated with U.S. authorities in their investigation.
The grand jury indictment is for the importation and distribution of 43 pounds of cocaine in the United States. If convicted, Reneau will face federal drug trafficking charges.
