3 men and a teenager have been charged by police in connection with the robbery of Peppers Pizza in Belize City.

On Saturday afternoon at 2:15, one young man entered the pizza parlor, ordered a small pizza and left. Less than a minute after that, three men charged in, of them brandishing a handgun. While he held the cashier with a gun to her head, two of them jumped over the counter and emptied the cash register of $412. All four then rode off on bicycles.

They did not wear masks and police were able to review video from a surveillance camera in piecing together their investigations. They've been quick to make arrests: charging 20-year-old Shandon Avila, 21 year old Vallan Avila, 18 year old Allan Guzman and a 14 year old.

Police also recovered a toy gun believed to have been used in the robbery. Peppers proprietor Steven Roberts told us his business has taken further precautions to protect the establishment from this kind of crime.
