A 31-year-old car dealer is tonight in the KHMH recovering after he was attacked.....but police say that isn't the whole story.
Kevin Young told police that around 11:45 Friday night he exchanged words with two men on Mahogany Street when they pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the face and his left ear. An unconscious Perez was taken to the KHMH where he remains tonight. His attackers meanwhile say they were the ones being attacked.
Police picked up suspects who say they stabbed young in self-defense because he came at them with a gun. They say they could have been dead, but before he could get off a shot, the clip fell out of the gun and that's when they made their move. That is the course their story and police are waiting to hear his story. Until they do, police say no arrests will be made.
