85-year-old Killed in Northern Highway

An 85 year old has been knocked down and killed on the Northern Highway.

Sometime around 7 on Friday night Santa Clara villager Andres Cano was crossing the highway between miles 74 and 75 when a vehicle driven by 32 year old Milton Solis knocked him down on the road.

Solis reports that as he was going to render aid to Cano, a white truck also ran over Cano's leg. Police are now looking for that truck and its driver. They have since given Solis a notice of intended prosecution.
