75% of his body was burnt after he was set on fire two Saturdays ago in Dangriga, and last night 21 year old Fidel Vernon died. Vernon was pronounced dead around 9:30 at the KHMH. Vernon suffered third degree burns and he died from complications from the massive trauma.
Initially he regained consciousness and was able to talk but hs prognosis dimmed as his condition deteriorated. Even though the family has told police who set Fidel Vernon fire, so far they haven't made any arrests.
