Last week, Police Constable Leroy Kerr was charged with the theft of 18,000 gallons of fuel between November 2006 and May of 2007. New information tonight suggests that there may be more.
7NEWS has confirmed that an audit team has completed the review of fuel figures for the month of May, 2007 and so far indications are that there may be a few thousand gallons more that were misappropriated. The value of this additional amount we are told is in the tens of thousands of dollars.
If the report is confirmed Kerr would face an additional charge. Kerr is currently out on $15,000 bail.
