There is a horrific and disturbing case of rape, robbery and armed assault to report tonight. It started as a home invasion and ended with a mother being robbed, tied up, and raped in front of her five children by intruders who barged into their home at 2 am on Monday. She is a rape victim and so you won't see her face or get her name but you will hear her story of domestic terror.

The victim says that around 2:30 am she was startled out of her sleep by the sound of her door slamming.
Rape Victim,
"Immediately I heard like mom was about to scream and I heard this male person tell her don't scream or she would see what happens to you. Thereafter when I heard him I sat down on my bed and I immediately saw him come into my room and he started asking me, he told me not to make any noise or don't move and don't make any noise or you're going to get hurt so I said okay. So I just sat on my bed and he started asking me to take off the jewelry I had.
I was starting to take off my bracelet and I told him he had to help me. So he started assisting me but he was like reluctant to help me. I told him if he wanted me to take it off he had to help me because I can't do it alone. So he proceeded in helping me taking off my bracelet and then I took off my earring and then he took me back into my room and asked me where is the money. I told him it is in the other room, my money is in my purse in the other room hanging up on a nail.
So he told the other guy, that was when I knew there was another guy, because he told the guy to go and get the purse. So I just saw the shadow of the guy who went to the other room and he got the purse and I heard like him starting to empty the things from the purse on to the floor and then he took everything that was in my purse; my jewelry and my money that I had in there."
She was stripped of her jewelry and her purse was emptied but she soon realized the men wanted more.
Rape Victim,
"They tied my hands with a rag and they tied the other on my mouth and they told me to lie down on the bed. Then I started feeling like something in my back. I said to myself these guys are stabbing me."
Next door in the other room was her mother who told me she listened helplessly as her daughter was stabbed and then raped.
Mother of Rape Victim,
"I heard lots of things were going on, like moving things but I couldn't do anything to help my daughter. I know what was happening in the room but I couldn't move because my four grandchildren were sleeping with me and if I moved, maybe they would have stabbed me or something."

I know this is hard for you but you said you knew what was happening, what was happening?
Mother of Rape Victim,
"I don't know exactly what was happening but she was saying bawling and I heard the man said we have to tie her up. Afterwards I was just laying down and I started to pray to the Lord."
And after the rape, there was one more horrific act of cruelty.
Rape Victim,
"I had the ironing board right to the end of my bed and the iron was
right on top and he took off the iron, he held the iron and he started to whapping the end of the knife with the iron and he was hammering it. He didn't stop until the knife couldn't go anymore."
In about half hour the ordeal was over. The family couldn't call for help because the men had cut the phone wire. But even more interesting is that there was no forced entry to the house. Both mother and daughter believe the intruder had a key.
Mother of Rape Victim,
"They didn't break the windows or nothing. They just made a hole in the screen door and opened the screen door. I think to myself they had a key."
The daughter - who was shot 3 months ago - believes someone has it out for her.
Rape Victim,
"I think it is personal and I really don't want to go into details because I don't have sufficient evidence or anything because three months ago on March 5th I was attacked also and I was shot in both legs and that happened right inside my yard in the back of my yard. And when I was just completing two months on the first of March I was attacked with a hammer and I do believe that all these incidents are related and the same person is paying these guys to hurt me."
The daughter is in the hospital recovering - right now she is unable to walk but considering the terror she endured - she's thankful to be alive.
Some important things to note are that while the rape victim made a report to police three months ago when she was shot, no arrest has been made. Even more notable is that her attackers told her would be killed if she made a police report.
She made that report and has taken it a step further by talking to the media because the way she sees it, the only thing she has left to lose is her life. She asked us to mention that she has asked for police protection at the KHMH but she was told the department doesn't have enough officers.
