He was convicted based on a statement from the man he was accused of killing. Today 21 year old Michael Faux asked the Court of Appeal to overturn that verdict. His appeal was however denied.
Faux was charged for the June 2005 murder of Sydney “Boops” Bradley on West Canal. Bradley was hanging out with friends when a gunman approached and opened fire. Bradley was shot and later died. But before he died – he told a friend and a neighbor who killed him. That testimony sealed the case against him in February of this year. In March he was sentenced to life in prison.
His appeal attorney Kevin Arthurs argued 7 points of appeal. But the court denied them and upheld the conviction and life sentence Faux is serving.
