Armed Robbery at Home for the Elderly

Well what can we say, the unthinkable in a series of hold-ups and robberies unfolded in Belize City around four thirty this evening. A lone gunman walked into the Sister Cecilia Home for the Elderly and into the supervisor’s office where he pointed a gun at her and demanded money. According to reports the man proceeded to rummage through a drawer where the supervisor told 7News contained an undisclosed amount of cash.

We understand the police are investigating the case from all angles including the possibility that the gunman may have been familiar with the building or may have been given information that money was inside the supervisor’s office. At this time police have no leads to this case.
