Forty- four year old Guatemalan national Joel Linarez, a pastor and businessman residing in King's park, was charged with handling stolen goods for 3 items that were stolen during the burglary of Salvation Army primary school when he appeared today in the #8 Magistrate's court.
Linarez pleaded not guilty to the charge. Because his immigration status could not be ascertained he was denied bail and was remanded into custody until august 26th. The police reported that on Thursday July 28th they recovered 3 items that were stolen from Salvation army primary school when they searched Linarez warehouse, located on Euphrates Avenue. The items were a Dell brand central processing unit, value $1,000; one black and gray Samsung syne flat screen monitor, valued $500; and one grey keyboard valued $150.The items were part of $25,000 worth of items that were stolen from the computer room of Salvation army primary school between June 22 and July 21.
