The Teacher who knocked down The Real Deal Carolette Gideon’s grandson was arraigned today in the court of Magistrate Khadeen Palmer.Â
41-year-old Virginia Hernandez was read two traffic offences, one count of drove motor vehicle without due care and attention and negligent wounding through the use of a Kia Spectra car.Â
The incident in question took place on February 4th 2020 when Hernandez through the negligent use of her motor vehicle wounded 8-year-old Dijon Dawson as he attempted to cross the street.Â
Hernandez, who was unrepresented pleaded not guilty to both charges today. She informed the court that her lawyer will be present at her next court date. The teacher was granted bail in the sum of $3000 plus one surety of the same. She is due back in court on April 21, 2020, at which time a date for her trial will be agreed upon.Â
