Omar Figueroa Promoted From Min. Of state

And, as you just heard, one of those who is being urged to put in his name for party leader is Dr. Omar Figueroa. The Governor General swore him in as full minister today in the presence of his colleagues Hugo Patt and Frank “Pawpa Mena. Â

Figueroa has a PhD in Wildlife, Ecology and Conservation and takes over the portfolio of Fisheries, Forestry, the Environment and Sustainable Development - where he had been minister of state since he won his second election in Cayo North in 2015.. Â

The Prime Minister split that portfolio earlier this week, taking out Agriculture and leaving that with Senator Godwin Hulse. The footage was courtesy the Government Press Office; the media was not invited. Â
