NTUCB President Marvin Mora estimates that the unions were able to mobilize a thousand protesters for today's demonstration. We counted just over 900. Police counted close to 1,500.

But, the Opposition Leader is claiming that his party will be able to mobilize 10 thousand supporters for their protest in Belize City this coming Sunday!

Is that just the usual political inflation, or can the PUP really bring out those kind of numbers? Here's how the Opposition Leader answered those questions:

Hon. Johnny Briceno - Leader of the People's United Party
"We expect to take out at least 10 thousand people on Sunday."

Reporter
"That is a very large number."

Hon. Johnny Briceno
"It is a very large number and we will take out a very large number because our people are fired up and Belizeans are fired up. A lot of people, that have not been traditional PUP supporters, have already said that they’re going to join us on Sunday. That is why we have the confidence to say that we’re going to take out at least 10 thousand people. Why did we not join the Unions today? Because we have rather decided to come out on Sunday."

We'll be there on Sunday to see if the Opposition Leader and the PUP can deliver on that crowd that they are estimating will show up.
