It's a property dispute between cousins Austin Robinson and Clifford Caballero that escalated into a fistfight and culminated in a stabbing.
But the assailant has turned out to be neither of the two men involved in the brawl; but instead, Caballero's common-law-wife, 19-year-old Jennifer Sanchez.
And today in an attempt to get bail for the indictable offense of attempted murder, her attorney Dickie Bradley argued that the young woman who acted in self-defense has been dealt with unfairly.
The Police are telling a different story. Here's what we heard from Sr. Superintendent Hilberto Romero.

"Reference the stabbing incident at Nurse White Street that occurred in Belize City, Where Austin Robinson was injured, police have since arrested and charged Jennifer Elizabeth Sanchez for the crimes of attempted murder, dangerous harm, and use of deadly means of harm."
Austin Robinson has since undergone surgery and is presently listed in a stable condition.
Sanchez is expected to be granted a bail application on Friday, September 4th.
