COVID Cases Hit 1k, Up Twentyfold In a Month

It's the last day of August, and Belize today topped 1,000 confirmed cases of COVID 19. That's more than twenty times the number of cases we had one month ago - on the last day of July - when only 48 COVID positives had been confirmed.

Today, the latest infographic shows that Belize has 1,007 active cases of COVID 19, with 821 of those active. The results for most recent 93 samples were released this evening and they show 14 new cases. One in Ladyville, three in Toledo, and ten in the Orange Walk District, including cases in Orange Walk Town, and the hotspot villages of San Felipe, Santa Marta, Guinea Grass, as well as San Pablo, San Jose, Trinidad.
