Cowo also asked for the family of a mentally ill missing woman to come forward. 56 year old Florita Harris was reported missing 9 days ago from her Belize City home - and police say she has been located in the Corozal District - but police need the family's help now. Here's Cowo to explain why:
Supt. Alejandro Cowo
"Reference the missing poster of Florita Harris, she has been located and we know that she is in Corozal Town. We are asking the public if they have any information as to any relative if they can come forward to the police department so that we can do arrangements for her to be brought to Belize City. The person actually reported her missing is just a friend and was concerned about the female that they hadn't seen her for quite a few days. We are trying to establish if there is any family member that can assist us. We have already contacted the Human Services Department and they will be assisting us with the female but likewise we are asking for any family member to please contact us so that we can follow the other procedures that we need to do and bring her back to Belize City."
So, if you know Florita Harris's family - please call the Belize City CIB office or Corozal police.
