Guatemala's president Alejandro Giammattei has tested positive for the coronavirus. The 64 yea told Giammattei told a local radio station that he feels well, but is showing typical symptoms of high fever and body aches. He also said he is nebulising and taking medications to avoid pulmonary complications.
He added that he is quote, "resting and isolating myself from all public activity."
Giammettei said he's asked his entire cabinet to be tested and work remotely.
Notably, Giammettei's announcement came on the same day that Guatemala reopened its borders, the International Aurora Airport in the capital, and Mundo Maya International Airport in the northern part of the country.
