The Commissioner of Police says that human remains found in Belmopan could lead to the identity of a missing person form one year ago.
Yesterday, reports say the remains were found in a Belize Water Services Sewer Line on the Ministry of Works compound in Belmopan City.
When he spoke with the press via Zoom conference today - the commissioner told us they don't know much, but they have a clue:
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police

"In respect to the remains found in Belmopan, we'll have the doctors take a look at it. We're still trying to look at our list of missing persons to see whether or not the remains may belong to one of those persons who were reported missing in the past. We have been receiving some information that it might be a female who had gone missing just over a year ago and so we are looking at that possibility at this time."
