And while the commissioner will debate anyone on that topic - if he did, it might actually be more entertaining than the much vaunted leadership debate which has now fallen flat.
Both the PUP's John Briceno and the UDP's Patrick Faber will not participate, leaving it to the leaders of the fledgling third parties - the Belize Progressive Party's Patrick Rogers will go up against the Belize People's Front's Nancy Marin.
Not exactly "must-see TV", but the organisers say "the show must go on."
While seasoned political observers could have predicted it - the Leadership Debate Committee, including the Chamber of Commerce, LOVE FM and Galen University - soldiered on - even when both major mass parties said the effort was falling apart because of a lack of communication with the Committee, known as the LDC.
So, when the deadline came today at 3:00 pm only the two third parties were in - none of which have ever attracted anything close to even 5% of the national vote.
The chair of the Debate Committee and president of the BCCI, Marissa Longsworth, explained that they have done their best to remain transparent throughout the process.

"So let me ask you a question what does it take to have a debate, it really takes two people who are willing and able to put their ideologies on the table and willing to think on their feet and to you know, to react to whatever is put to them and we have two leaders, whether those leaders are part of a mass political party or a smaller third party it really does not matter to the leadership debate committee. This conversation of engaging with the LDC and the political leaders has been ongoing for maybe 2 to 3 weeks without much response in general and so I think that the LDC at this point in time based on our discussions as a group has decided that the Belizean public deserve the debate that they will get on Wednesday because there is a full narrative and story surrounding this debate not only the debate as the outcome but also all of the things that are happening as we approach this debate also say a lot to the electorate and public as well. The presence of those who are going to be there will be respected and honored and they will be given the opportunity to use the platform. The absence of those who have not confirmed will also speak volumes to the public that will watch."
The debate will be streamed live at 8pm tomorrow.
