As you saw earlier, while the Belize River Valley floods have left many persons distressed, a family in Burrell Boom is traumatized after a home invasion on Wednesday night, around 7. The 6 burglars gained entry into their home, tied them up, and robbed them. Police were quick to respond, and apprehended the burglars in Hattieville. Superintendent Alejandro Cowo gave the details.

"Mr. Gary Samuels, 53 years old was inside his residence located in the Burrell Boom Village along with other family members. Whilst they were inside 6 males persons entered his residence holding them up at gun point, tying them and putting them inside of a room. Thereafter the male persons searched the entire house and they stole jewelries and assorted electronic devices. Thereafter they left from the location, police was alerted as to the aggravated burglary and as a result police intercepted the 6 male persons who were inside of a vehicle. A search was conducted in the vehicle which led to some of the items that were reported stolen from the house. As a result police detained those 6 persons and they will be charge some time this evening."

The suspects are all from Belize City.
