Last week we told you about the cold-blooded murder of Santa Elena security guard Lionel Olivera.

You'll remember the shocking security footage of the attack on the 57-year-old, A violent assault that cost him his life.

Tonight one of Olivera's attackers has been charged with his murder. We got more details on this ongoing investigation from Sr. Supt Hilberto Romero.

"Reference the death of the security guard in Santa Elena, we have since arrested and charged James Rudon, 21 years old, a Belizean of La Democracia Village for the crime of murder. We are seeking one more suspect in regards to this investigation."

Another suspect is being sought. Rudon was arrested at about 3:40 p.m. on April 27th when police stopped a bus in the southern village of Santa Rosa. They'd been looking for Rudon, and when they searched the rack above his head, they found a black Everest backpack that contained a 9mm Smith and Wesson pistol.

It remains the suspected murder weapon in the robbery and murder of 57-year old Lionel Olivera.
