Late Ron, at around 10:20 p.m. police had to go back to George Street for another shooting, and this time, the victim was 20-year-old Brian Neal Jr.
His father, Brian Sr., heard the sound of a gunshot being fired in front of his home. He went outside to check, and that's when he found his son suffering from a gunshot injury to his buttocks.
Police said it appears that the 2 incidents are connected:

"On Friday, police responded to a shooting incident on George Street in Belize City. Upon their arrival, they saw Brian Neal with a gunshot injury to the buttocks. Information is that he was in that area when he was approached by 2 male persons who fired several shots at him."

"Was this a retaliation act? It's the same area."

"We are conducting an investigation, and yes, we have information that it could possibly be retaliation for a previous shooting."

"Sir, are there these warring factions?"

"It is within the same persons from the same area. That is the information we have right now."

"So, an internal dispute."

"Again, we're trying to mediate with persons from the area, and operations are being conducted in that area to try and quell that escalation in violence."
Brian Neal Jr. was admitted to the hospital in a stable condition.
